John right, Carlton left, at Reds Game

The Collection of 

DR. JOHN GENNANTONIO

 

Dr. John Gennantonio DDS is a pedodontist and lives in Cincinnati Ohio. John's wife Peggy is a Geriatric M.D.. and they have two children, a nine year old boy. and an eight year old girl. I've known John since about 1995, and he's a great friend. John started collecting baseball cards when he was seven, and bought his first fingerless baseball glove from Dave Bushing when he was seventeen and still in high school. John collects football and baseball, and his hot button is the 1869 Red Stockings. I used to kid John he was personally responsible for raising the prices of leather football helmets on account of the prices he paid. One of my pastimes is leaving John a hillbilly twang spoof voice mail, saying I heard he collects old sports stuff and that I found a trunk full of 1880's baseball equipment in my attic. Below are photos of his great collection I took when I visited him after the 2007 National. It's mostly baseball, as he sold his football collection a while back.
